We made it to Pooler, GA (yet another Walmart Supercenter):

Walmart 2860 Pooler station details
160 Pooler Parkway, Pooler, Georgia 31322

and plugged into unit 4 and it activated fine and started pulling a consistent 142 Kw. There was a Ruby Tuesday in the lot so we decided to eat an dearly dinner and hit the road.

Our Next stop will be the EA station at the Avenues Mall (a Simon mall in Jacksonville, FL.)

They had a 4 bay charging stations with 150 and 350 KW units. It was also the only EA station around so there was a small line waiting to charge. I believe there was an Audi eTron Wagon, a VW ID4, a BMW (not sure what model) and a Form mustang Mach-e on the chargers.

I met a couple other nice people waiting to charge, Bob with an ID4 and I nice woman with a Hyundai Ionic 5. They explained this is generally a good station but it gets crowded sometimes since it’s the only one around. Another man who drove in from NY arrived in his Ionic 5 and we all had a nice conversation.

We plugged in and it started fast charging - we hit the mall to stretch our legs and charged to 88%. I was not able to determine the max Kwh into the pack because the EA screen would not display it (unusual) and the Truck has the data but it’s not visible to user (come on Ford - lets open that up in an upcoming OTA update!).

Next stop - Cocoa Florida EA station!

I know all of those stops from road tripping our Mach E to FL. I’ve even charged briefly at that Tru. The difference was I had a TeslaTap with me.

Decent food at Millers Ale House in sight of those chargers.

So it was a busy weekend at the horse show the EA at Walmart was in bad shape so had to use the EA at Target 7 mi south.

Now - on the way down we had two full days, going back we only have 1.25 days and boy it is NOT going to be fun with charging stops from Jacksonville, FL to home.

We did stop in Daytona Beach at the Fords Garage for dinner, pretty neat place!
Had to get the Lightning with its great, great grandparent…
