I put a deposit down 5/20/21, I can now order, but I thought I read I would get a code to receive a credit for the price change, is this true? I tried a search and couldn’t find anything.

Thank you!!

If you are talking about the price increase from 2022 models to 2023, that only applies to those that pushed their 2022 reservations. Pros were sold out by wave 2 and xlts by wave 4, don’t quote me on the waves. But reservation holders for 2022 had the opportunity to push it to 2023 in hopes of getting a pro or xlt. Those that did were given a ford private offer, an discount that would price their 2023s similar to 2022. There was no code but the final contract would reflect the private offer.

If you’re just getting an order email I don’t think you’re price protected like above poster said. Specifically the email that you get talks about the price protection if you were.

I'll confirm what the two posts above said, if this is your first invitation to order, your prices will be the ones Ford is offering on the day you place your order your MY2023 Lightning.

The private offers were only for those invited to order a MY2022 Lightning back in the spring.

So, if I ordered mine on 8-6-22 and the order was confirmed/ accepted by my dealer at that time should I expect to pay the listed price at the time of my order? The reason I ask is that the MSRP and other options have gone up since that date.

Yes, for msrp from ford. Ford will honor the price that was posted when you ordered. The dealer, unfortunately, can still put on ADM. They shouldn’t if they want to stay in good standings with Ford but it is a possibility.

Get a signed buyer's order from the dealership listing all costs. That will help protect you against ADM.

There is a question of whether you actually ordered from Ford or the dealer took an order. Those are not the same thing. I suspect if your "order" was not accepted for build by Ford you don't actually have an order yet. Go see what your status is on the Ford website rather than listen to what the dealer tells you.

On Ford.Com my accounts it shows an order date of 8-18-22, with an order number. It also shows that the order was sent to dealer and was accepted by dealer. When scrolling down it shows a dealer selling price of $51,564.
Post a copy here and we can check it out to see if it looks right. Please delete the last part of order number, name, address for security purposes.

You can leave your credit card number for our convenience fee ;)
