I know the BBB legislation that included a new EV tax rebate may never get off the ground, but I am keeping it in mind in case something like it is passed. The legislation included a max purchase price of $80K for trucks to qualify for the rebate. The question is, does that max value include state sales tax (or fees like destination)? Anyone know? I am considering a Lariat with extended battery. The CA 7.25% sales tax would most likely blow past the $80K limit. I'd hate to miss out on a possible $12.5K rebate, and I most likely will be ordering in January.

No. The price used in the cap is MSRP.
