Yours sounds like a great application for a Lightning. Remember that the 9.6kW Pro Power Onboard that includes 240v in the bed is supposed to be available as an option on all models. It is unclear if it only comes with the Extended Range battery. At the Lightning event in DC, I was told the 9.6kW Pro Power Onboard was an option for the Standard Range battery as well. We will know for sure once the build & price tool comes out.
Farm use
Ford seems to be marketing the lightning to fleets for business owners and ignoring the farmers. I have a small rural Florida farm and am an early adopter of solar and driver of a Chevy Bolt. I have an Silverado 2500 for my farm and towing vehicle. I was attracted to lightning for the backup power ability to run a 240v pump for my livestock. I have a portable generator but the f150 would be easier for quick short term use. I like the Pro for farm use much more than the more expensive models but need the 240v of the extended range or at least the 240v electric box. This is what most farmers need in an electric, but most of us don’t need a fleet of 5. I am not in any rush for delivery, have a Cybertruck reservation and will see what Chevy offers in January, but would really prefer the Pro model If I can get a 240v power source

Pretty sure I will be going with the Pro for a number of reasons. It offers the most bang for the buck. Eighteen inch wheels give a better ride and tire replacement is less expensive and more easily available. Don’t particularly like or need extra light bars on the front or back. Prefer vinyl seats for both camping and farm use. Will add the 9.6kW 240v unit and plug into my 30amp transfer box which will power my 240 v pump and lighting I have wired into it. Already have two level two chargers so may not even order the Ford unit. Have routinely charged on 110 unit as it is only 50 miles RT into town And I only charge 80% or 200 miles to preserve Batteries. I will add the extra cooling for towing my 27ft Airstream, and car transport flatbed. I wouldn’t use the fancy hookup features enough to justify them. Will use some of the cash saved for accessories. May add $395 red paint as my wife prefers a red truck.
yes, this PRO model, while quite sufficient for most any circumstance, will be a BOOM for farmers. No more 'idling' of trucks, more TORQUE than you'll ever need in ANY situation, and can use a simple plug for power, which tend to be abundant at farms. The addition of being able to power your CAMPER from your truck is fantastic, as well. No more generator, no more noise, no more carrying fuel. If the 240v power becomes an option for the base battery and the PRO model, that would make sense, but they may be withholding all the options until several years in the future. We'll see.
Have a farm as well and just ordered the XLT SR with the optional 9.6 Kwh pro power in the bed and will use the 30 amp 240 volt bed plug as backup for my 11.4 Kwh home solar system. I think it's the PERFECT farm truck replacement vehicle - no idling fuel usage, noise, or fumes - no 'refueling' from a gas or diesel 'on farm' tank - only a simply 240v outlet needed. Leave the truck 'running' all the time, if you wish - it makes no difference! TORQUE, All Wheel Drive - always, no worries! POWER available ANYWHERE you go - what else could you even want or need? !
