Factory Kicker subwoofer upgrade?

These systems are typically proprietary so I highly doubt this will work with the B&O amp. Would love to hear about upgrades, because the 8 speaker B&O system in the Lariat is not very good. Its kinda killing the deal for me ATM between this and the Rivian.

Here is the best thing I have found for an upgrade if you are not into assembling each component yourself: Multi-Channel - Arc Audio Loaded Amplifier Racks for 2015-2023 Ford F-Series Trucks (B&O including Unleashed, Sony, Non-Amplified)

I checked with my dealer about this. They said it's not for the B&O systems. Works with the Sony system.

Confusing. They only show amplifiers and the removal of the Factory Sub. Where is the sub? Does this include speakers that can take all that power?

I believe they split L and R to their own amp each and also add a line for sub to each side. Those prices do not include any speaker upgrades. $$$$
So, I'm researching taking out the sub an adding a new sub and an amp for the sub. I'll probably do it myself and wire it directly to the 12v battery. Not a big amp, but I think the fuse is ~40 amps. Anybody see any issues going directly to the battery, should I go to the jumper locations maybe?
Direct to the battery. Major debate on whether the aluminum cab can carry a proper ground, some say it can and ground near the sub and some say the ground needs to go all the way to the battery too. A few other Ford forums have some good stereo threads. Remember that anything they do in an ICE is repeatable in the Lightning for stereo upgrades.
You have to explore their page in detail to find the system and level you want to do. They have prices from a couple of thousand to over $20K. They have even a simple cable $60 I think to tap into the sub signal - then you can replace only the sub easily with a powered sub (has its own amp built in) from Crutchfield - check JL Audio, Kicker, several offer one that will fit behind the seat. You keep the rest of the factory system.
If you want to do much of anything else in these trucks and increase power, you have to remove the amp and start over from the ground up pretty much.

I took out the stock sub and put the Kicker hideaway pretty much in the same spot. Pretty easy to install. Although the unit did not like my first ground location. I bolted it down using the bolt that held down the stock sub. I moved it to a bolt on the amp bracket and it was happier!
Definitely sounds better for my taste. But still dialing it in. May want to go bigger!
I think the stock speakers sound better and are a little louder after taking out the stock sub!? Maybe the speakers are getting more power without the sub hooked up?

Lol - you can spend as much money as you want on this stuff... and for sure a lot more than I did. I have a Lariat, so it's the 8-speaker system. I hear the unleashed is better but still not great. This one for sure is garbage.Dang, Mr Moneybags!
