So my Lightning came in just in time for Christmas (Dec. 22). New to the forum. I'm having a charger issue. Had 240 volt plug installed in garage (NEMA 14-50). Wall mount charger initially has blue light, then changes to amber. No charge to truck. Plugged into 120 outlet, same story. Tried a different outlet on the other side of garage and it works fine. The garage has it's own sub panel with multiple circuit breakers. Fed from house with four wire cable. Neutral buss is insulated from box and ground buss is connected to box. Any ideas?

Are you trying to charge on an outlet with a GFCI? EVSEs have a built-in GFCI and will often fault if run on a GFCI-equipped circuit.

The most common problems are a grounding issue, or trying to use an evse on a GFCI circuit.

Can you elaborate how your garage is wired? How’s the other 120v different from the previous one that didn’t work?
The garage circuit breaker box is wired from the main breaker box in the house. As I said, it's 4 wire with the neutral and ground isolated. The 120 outlet that works is on a different breaker and phase from the one that doesn't work. I wonder if I swap the phases on the 240 outlet if that would make a difference? The voltage is good on both 120 and 240.

Okay, I swapped phases on the 240 volt outlet and problem solved. I don't know why that makes a difference but I'm not going to question success.
