So I called Ford again and this time got an Advanced tech. The tech said my phone got flagged as "jailbroken or rooted". My phone has never been jailbroken/rooted, but the tech remarked that installing a software update "too soon" on your phone can trigger this lockout because their system doesn't recognize the iOS version.
At any rate, 9 days later, they said they'll escalate the ticket through another team and it will take another 24-48hrs.
I am not opposed to Ford having API restrictions around unauthorized apps, but they have to have a better system than this. It should not take me a web chat and 2 phone calls and still be locked out of my account.
