Ford, you evil, evil company. I logged into my ford page today and I was presented with a big old, screening-dominating pop up saying I could order my lightning today. Obviously I know that's not true, but I had to click the 'continue' button to get around it, and sure enough it takes me to my reservation page where it still kicks me in the nuts and reminds me that no, in fact, I cannot order my lightning. It's like an evil little elf ran up and kicked me in the nuts for no reason.
I really wish I had the forethought to screenshot it...

You are assuming the worst. Call Ford at ‭(800) 334-4375‬ and act all excited and confused by the technical glitches in): a) their web site, or b) your computer. You never know. There almost certainly has to be some order infilling between now and 3/31.

Dude you should definitely call Ford. It's BS if you're getting that and shouldn't be. And if you really should be able to order, but can't, thats a problem too. I haven't heard of anyone getting an order invite that way previously but maybe that's how their doing mop up orders...

I think I remember seeing in this forum that when people got their email notification, this is the pop up they saw when they logged in so who knows. I am chatting with Ford now

I am trying to log in and can't. the website circle of death keeps spinning so perhaps they are trying to correct the glitch.... oops. as I was typing it stopped and I got an long convoluted (to me) error message. will try again later today

Oh yeah, they apologized Profusely and said it was a glitch. They were “kind enough” to validate that I have not been given an opportunity to order yet
