My 2023 F-150 Lightning had arrived and when I went to pick it up and finalizing the deal, dealer said I need to pay the MSRP listed on the window sticker instead of the MSRP when I placed my order, which is a $5000 difference (I order back in 8/11/2022). I even show them my build sheet submitted to them listed the $5K lower MSRP but they said FORD is no longer honoring this. I call FORD customer number (800) 392-3673 but the customer service person said he has no solution for this and the sales department was closed for the day (or week, it was Friday night) and direct me to call back on Monday (dealer will hold the car for me over the weekend and agreed for me to go back on Monday).
I saw several posts about this from last year and heard that FORD will reimburse the $5K to dealer about a month/45 days after the sales recorded and dealer will write a check (may or may not be $5K) back to the consumer. Is that true still for Jan, 2023? Are there any changes?
For someone went thru this before, how do you get connect to a FORD regional rep to tell the dealer the "instruction"? Much appreciated if you can get me some info before I go back in on Monday to straighten things out. 🙏🙏🙏
