So, you open your F150 Lightning door and the vehicle welcomes you with a lot of sound. Specifically a bonging noise, and it doesn’t stop until you close the door. Sounds OK but it’s a pain.

For me, I have found that opening my door is also the cue for question time. Be it coworkers, wife, or just someone interested in the lightning. When I open the door is when they all want to engage me.

What I would like is a limit on the noise, 5/10/15 seconds, not endless.

Anyone have some thoughts, insights, or solution?

I've cut that wire and the seat chime on every vehicle I've owned.

I was told by the dealer that I probably shouldn't try on this one. But I will, when I get my truck, and if I follow up on buying it, and if I can ID the wire.

Forscan can turn that off on the regular F-150s. I've seen mixed information about whether or not all of that stuff applies to Lightnings, but certainly some does.

This link mentions that the seatbelt reminder setting was successful on a lightning. I would guess (hope?) that means everything in that module will work similarly. Spreadsheet here. Let me know if you try it!
