Hello,
I recently purchased a RetraxOne retractable cover, like most bedcovers it included drain hoses to allow you to drain the cassette into the vacant space between the bed and the cab.
I wanted it to be a bit more “solid” than simply punching a hole and sticking the drain tube into the hole so I purchased a couple elbow hose barbs and the orbit couplers in the photo attached.
I did cut the coupler end off the orbit units just so I had the threaded portion that’s I needed for the other side of the Ford bed plug.
I then drilled a 1/2” hole in the center of each bed plug and fed the threaded portion (with the rubber gasket from the end of the coupler I removed) through the hole and screwed on the threaded portion of the orbit coupler until it was tight.
I then reinstalled the plugs and routed the drain tubes to them after trimming about 3” off the bottom of each tube to prevent the drain tube from crimping. I then sealed the tube into the elbow with electrical tape (so I could adjust it later if needed).
Hope this helps if you were considering doing the same thing.
Let me know if you decide to use this and what the results were.
