Anyone else using the departure comfort to warm the truck up in the morning? It is now starting to get colder in the mornings and I have mine set up to warm the truck to medium weekdays at 7 am, it works most of the time but not always. This morning was cold, 32F and the truck was stone cold as well. I looked at my charging plot from my Autel charger and the is shows the truck did not wake up and warm up like it does when this feature works. When it does work I see that it starts to pull a charge again about 15-20 minutes prior to the set departure time. So has anyone else experienced this? I attache two charging plots to show this.

I’m struggling with the same issue. Trying to use departure times for the first week - didn’t need it in the summer. I’ve double checked correct time zone and the scheduled departure shows up under the charging menu on the screen. But every morning the truck feels like no preconditioning occurred.

I've found the app to be finicky at times when trying to modify settings like this or the charge station settings. You might try going through the process again and saving it to see if that helps. You could also see if it warms up when plugged in and follows your departure schedule versus unplugged.

I went thought the settings yesterday on the truck and in Fordpass, saved everything and had the truck plugged in, still stone cold this morning. Would be nice if this feature actully work properly, it's not too cold yet but when the temps dip to the single digits it will not be good. It seems the truck is very conservative with the heater to save range. I have mine set to 72 but it does not seem all that warm when it cold outside. I hope Ford gets this sorted soon, I'll be coming up on 5000 miles soon and will be bringing it to the dealer for free tire rotation and check over, if it still is problem I'll have them take a look.

I stopped using it because I was finding that if I used those settings the Heated Steering Wheel wouldn't work for the rest of the time I used it. So now I just remote start before I leave.

I mean setting enviro controls before turning the truck off and using FordPass to start the vehicle in the AM is an option but not something I want to have to so. It's too early in the truck's life and too expensive to resort to workarounds already. Bottom line, regardless of trying to manage departure times on the app or in the truck, I have not been successful once with having the truck precondition. I've ensured the truck timezone is accurate after the last OTA reset it but no luck. Unless anyone else has had the same issue and found a fix I guess I'll try reseting the truck and then go from there.

I had the same problem with the heated steering wheel this week. The preconditioning worked fine when I set it through the app but the heated steering wheel wasn't working even after I shut off the heated steering wheel and turned it back on.

Glad I wasn't the only one, even though it sucks.
