New to the forum. My lightning is built with a pending delivery date next month. I'm still just seeing a line item for dealer selling price in the MyFord account. Is that the actual price I'll pay or are dealers marking up the lightnings? Also I don't have any confirmed interest rate from Ford, despite them running a credit check and giving me a preauthorization. I'm not feeling great walking into the dealership without a firm price or a known credit offer. I also bought another large item recently so I'm hesitant to apply for other credit options as I know multiple inquires affect credit scores.
I love EVs and I'm excited about the prospect of having a lightning but the payment on an 80k vehicle (Lariat Extended range) has me wondering what my best course of action is.
What has been the dealer experience for those who have actually taken delivery?

Don't blame for feeling that way. My sales guy was pretty friendly and in to EVs himself. I talked to him at least twice in between placing the order and getting it. You should have gotten a piece of paper with the price on it and discussed the price at some point after placing the order. While you can never know until you know, having that rapport can at least give you some sense.

I'd say call the sales guy and tell him that you see your truck is built. Mine didn't have that date and liked hearing that (mainly cause mine was early on and I ended up being their second Lightning sold).

In the end if you walk in when it comes and they try something with ADM, just walk away. Come to grips with that now; don't let them pressure you. They'll say they have nothing making them sale at sticker and you have no reason to sign anything; just walk out. You will get something eventually. They need you more than you need them.

And I would suggest shopping around for interest rates. I went with a credit union and got a way better rate than Ford could have offered.

Ask the dealer for a signed buyers order. This is something any reputable dealer should be glad to provide. It should list the final price with no ADM.

got my truck at sticker and love it, same truck as yours but make sure you can live with the towing restrictions and you can live with the real miles you will get daily not the posted number, for me both work and the truck is a dream to drive but again that is for me, I use my truck to 75-100 percent its actual range capability in miles every day (charging at home) so that's why it works.

Contact a local Credit Union for financing rates and have that information with you when you talk to dealer. The dealer has many financing options available and they will match the Credit Union rates. If not, open an account at the credit union and finance through them!
