Another one, same message, but nothing changed in my order on their website, so no clue what caused the delay, how long the delay is. E-mails says they'll contact you when ready to put it back in line for production, but my order still shows its schedule for production the same week it has been since it updated to reflect the estimated production date. Confusing e-mail with no details or clarification.
I guess this ordering process is new to Ford since historically, sales have always been through dealers. Ford appears to be fumbling with this process just like any of the other new companies. Read that several had their production dates pushed up to earlier dates. Had been hoping for the same. This is the opposite, but order status on website shows nothing new.
I am so over this new process of having to order cars 1, 2 or 3 years out, then wait, wait, wait for them. I now understand why the Used Car market has become so attractive and prices have gone up.
