Like everyone I was in early and extended…received my build date of 12/12/22. Yippee. i ordered the platinum w all bells and whistles…on My latest Pricing Summary…there is a Line “Difference from total MSRP (e31) $10,000 ADD”…pushing my build to $108G. I buy several vehicles, trucks /vans, from my dealer a year and was told by my salesman I would buy at MSRP…of course I will contact him. But what “gives” according to what I have seen and heard, Ford is looking to eliminate Dealer AddOns…yet they post them on “the Ford” pricing page. Anyone have similar issue?

Your dealer put that ADM on the truck. Be thankful that the Ford order site now has a place to easily look for such add-ons.

Hey There - Question for you, on Ford.com when you look at the reservation can you see the $10k mark-up on there? I would be curious to see a screenshot if so. I was an early reservation holder / extended and then ordered. I went to the dealer yesterday to buy and they sprung an $8,000 mark-up on me that I was un-aware of. It sounds like it should be in the 'difference from Total MSRP' line, but maybe I am wrong! Thanks

You're correct. It's the second to the last line and the last line would not show the same as the third to the last if the ADM had been disclosed at time of order. Make sure and hover over the info boxes like E27, E31, and E147 for points to argue. IMHO, the ADM should be on the Pricing Summary when the dealer accepts the order. The dealer sets the price, it doesn't matter how slimy they want to act.

Thanks. I thought so. I am going to call Ford corporate tomorrow morning to discuss and then figure out how to proceed.

Here is my screenshot…interesting your dealer is asking 8G mine is asking 10G. This whole process seems a bit like a bait and switch move That Ford is allowing.

1 year ago I make a reservation on the internet for the Lightning…I pay Ford a minimal deposit..NOT my dealer…a few months later Ford tells me I did not get in the initial group of Lightning builds…and ask if I wanted to keep my Reservation in place, which I did…during this entire process my dealer is not involved. Then a few months ago I get an email announcement…place your order…which I did and pay another minimal deposit…at no time was I told of a dealer “add-on” (wish I kept a screenshot of what I originally ordered). As I said previous, I purchase 1-3 trucks a year for my business + personal vehicles. After placing the Ford internet order, I contacted my dealer salesperson and alerted him and he was able to track my order at this point. Until this time my dealer had ZERO involvement. I wonder WHY they feel they need an “add-on”. Sure they have a location w overhead…but $10G? I will use my leverage as a long standing customer, but not sure what that will do, as greed seems to be in vogue currently in the auto business. I will post my results…

Maybe this is a stupid question. But I’m curious if this would make a difference. My dealer has a required dealer protection package. It’s $2995 and includes a 7 year warrantied ceramic coating and fabric protection and Safe and Sound (window etching, one free key replacement and nitrogen filled tires). I’m alright with it since I want ceramic coating. And I know the longer the warranty the higher the cost (and hopefully better the product). I got a one year ceramic coating for $400 two years ago. My question though is if it would be better to pay for the package separately. Out of pocket pay the $3000 package and not wrap it into my transaction and put $3000 down. Would one be better than the other? I don’t want my monthly payment to be too high. Would there be any difference doing it one way vs the other?

I paid about $1900 for a lifetime warranty ceramic on my Mustang Mach E. $3K sounds awfully high for a 7 year warranty.

FYI - received my Lightning last week and paid full list price...no additional dealer add-on...expensive but very nice ride. Am happy so far...styled it up changed out the "hot wheels" looking rims for full black and painted the calipers Lightning Blue...looks pretty cool
