After several delays, the Cybertruck is currently not expected to begin deliveries until late 2023 or early 2024. And now, in a new interview, Elon Musk says Tesla has enough Cybertruck reservations to fill 3 years of production. This pushes deliveries for new reservations as far out as 2027.

By that point the Lightning will likely be on - or approaching - gen 2, the Silverado EV will be all over the streets, and even Ram will have an EV truck in customers' hands (surprising, huh?). Meanwhile, the CyBeRtRuCk will be an 8-year old platform, with styling that will be 45 years old.

This makes me keep thinking the CyBeRtRuCk is just vaporware, designed to satisfy Musk's own ego/childhood dreams, and to effectively secure over $100 million in interest-free loans from the supposed 1 million reservation holders.

Almost as good as "It was the biggest inauguration crowd ever." That guy should have just blamed it on the bad weather and said that it would have been the biggest ever (not verifiable one way or the other). Musk just has to say something as soon as people haven't talked about him in the last twelve seconds (I am exaggerating a little bit).

Me too. I reserved a CT like 2 years ago... Still waiting. We'll see if my Lightning, combined with how ugly the CT is can convince me to give up and drop it...
