I have a dedicated 50amp plug outside my house running a Grizzle-E 40amp charger.

Would it be possible to replace it with my Ford CSP, running only at 40amp (don't want to upgrade to 100amp breaker) AND then add the home integration system sold by AEEexpress to provide backup power to my house?

My charger is about 50 feet from my junction box in the garage. I'm assuming the Ford CSP could remain outside and would use the same wiring as the Grizzl-E, and the home integration stuff would be in the garage next to my panel. Does this sound right? I heard and read that you don't need the 100amp service in order to get all of the potential backup power thru your CSP.

Anyone with experience with this yet? Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

My FCSP arrives tomorrow. I think you're on the right path. You do need separate conductors to carry the DC from the Lightning HV battery to the HIS inverter.

Based on everything I've read and heard, you can run the Ford CSP at 40A and operate the HIS using the existing wiring.
