So this may be hard to hear unless you are standing next to it or have the windows down with no music. But is anyone hearing clicks that sound like they are coming from all 4 wheels when going from stop to accelerating? At first I thought it was maybe pebbles in the wheels but it isn't consistent. It sound like rolling over sticks. I hear it in the rear when slowing down to come to a stop as well.

I don't know how long it has been happening, because of the heat, I've mostly had the windows up and A/C on. It doesn't happen each time I do any of those things.

I hear this too. Not sure what it is, but im guessing it could just be a tolerance that has a little play in the suspension, that we used to not hear with our ICE trucks. I would love to see if someone figures out what it is.

that is exactly what i have been hearing. the odd thing is that the car seems to be running fine, so i am not sure if this noise is normal, like a gear shift mechanism disengaging? honestly, i do not know anything about cars...but i am waiting for my dealer to get me set up with an appointment to have it looked at.

Hi All,
I have the exact same noise coming from my Lariat. Thanks for the video @partyofone - I thought I was the only one!!!

I took mine to the dealership to pickup the my tags and I asked them to listen to check it out. They arranged for me to bring it in. Long story short, they were great in looking into it and we thought the problem was solved, but I still hear the clicking sound.

Like you all, I am just trying to confirm this is normal for my model or if it needs to be fixed. What’s odd is they leant me a XLT Lightning and I did NOT hear the click sound. Look forward to hearing more from @Ford Motor Company.

For me it was my right rear wheel. All of the wheel nuts were loose and the rim was walking on the hub as I turned. It got progressively worse until last Thursday heading home from work I had to pull off the highway. Limped it halfway home until it became undriveable and I could finally see the rear tire wobbling in my side-view mirror. I pulled over and noticed four wheel nuts were missing and one broken stud. I stole a nut from each of the other rims and was able to make it to the dealership. They said that they don't do anything with the wheels during PDI and it doesn't come off the ground so I am guessing this was a booboo from the factory. I am booked in for tomorrow morning to get the broken stud replaced. Lucky, it could have been a ton worse if the wheel had come off on the highway. Suggest everyone check their wheels and re-torque their wheel nuts and see if the noises go away. Once I dead mine was dead quiet again.

The wheels are definitely not it in my case. (I just double checked)
I can hear two clicks when taking off, and they are slightly offset by a few milliseconds. When I look at the power distribution display the clicks match up to the moment power is transferred to each axle. So it’s definitely the motors.
kind of annoying that @Ford Motor Company still hasn’t provided an official opinion when so many people experience this.

OK thanks @partyofone for the update. Good to know in my case it was something "simple"...

Same problem here. I notice the sound when completely off the accelerator and back on. I hear it most in a parking garage. Hoping it is just something loose that can be tightened. Definitely drive unit related.

Does anyone else have a somewhat jarring feeling when completely letting off the accelerator and/or pushing the accelerator following deceleration...at slower speeds? kind of like there is some play in gears so you feel the clunk when the gears touch?

I have these clicks as well the audio file is different though it has the clicks and something else clicking on it. Mine fits the description from Party of One Perfectly. I can hear two clicks when taking off, and they are slightly offset by a few milliseconds.
