Does your lightning make noise while it is charging? Sometimes my truck is charging silently. Other times there is an audible hum while it's charging. I find this odd. Wanted to hear what others are experiencing. Thank you.

Wait until you DC fast charge on a hot summer road trip. It can sound like a turbo prop preparing for takeoff!

Charging at home is using the onboard INVERTER/CHARGER, so you'll hear those 'humm' and make noise while the charging is happening. When DC Fast Charging, you'll not hear the truck, but the CHARGER itself that will be humming, and the only part of the truck that might make sounds would be the front auto shutters and fan.

Agreed. However, when DC Fast Charging on a hot day, the fan goes into overdrive and is very loud.

Thank you for your replies. The key takeaway for me was the difference from using the onboard inverter that hums vs the DC fast charger humming instead. I'll get used to it. Appreciate the replies.
