Currently I have charging at home programed to charge from 10pm to 5am. I plugged in the truck yesterday at 6pm. Charger failed to charge last night as programmed. This is not a problem today but I need to trust that the truck will charge as programmed. First time it has happened. Wondering if others have seen this? We have spotty cell phone connectivity, does that affect charging on Ford Pass? Because of the charge failure I discovered there is no way to start a charge, immediately, without reprogramming my home charger on Ford Pass to charge when plugged in. Anyone know how to charge immediately, if needed, without changing the settings in Ford Pass?

Attention Ford:
1. Please allow the ability to program charging each day of the week instead of grouping weekdays and weekends. Where I live Sundays are off peak, all day.
2. Please add the ability to charge immediately when plugged in at the touch of a button, without changing settings in Ford Pass.

You using the trickle charger or the wall charger?

I got fed up the the FordPass control for charging (with the trickle charger) and instead added an Alexa controlled smart switch and use Alexa “routines to control power to the charger. Why, because with two EV’s I need to be sure they don't both attempt to draw at the same time and I found the Ford solution too flaky to be relied upon. My most serious complaint is absense of timezone awareness.

We charge my wife’s Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid from the the F150L (which allows her to charge whenever) and the F150L based on schedule for cheapest electrical rates. I find I am visiting DC fast chargers when required, or I have a spare hour; The dog likes those excursions! (Great Dane).

An effective solution when charging two EVs and sharing juice is desired.

I've had some growing pains with my truck recently, when 'Charge Schedule' did not work as assumed. I do, though, see that the Ford Pass app generally will give options, such as 'Charge Now', or 'Stop Charge', or 'Resume Schedule'... I am using a third-party EVSE, but I'm not sure that your Pro Charger would be any different, as the TRUCK is what determines the schedule, or 'when' to start and stop charging..... UNLESS your Pro Charger is not working properly, itself.

Maybe Mustang MachE owners have a different insight on how to best make this work under different situations, or their vehicle may actually handle this totally differently.

I hope that FORD listens and really revamps the CHARGING OPTIONS - everyone is NOT the same.

@Justjoe I'm having the exact same problem using the mobile charger. I set to a schedule charge that starts at 10 pm and in the morning, no charging has occured. Without the confidence that the schedule will work, my only option is changing the setting from "preferred" to "charge when plugged in..at night before bed. It should be reliable

Hello All, I am experiencing similar issues with 'Preferred Charging Times' and the FordPass App. We have a parallel discussion on another thread.

In short, there appeared to be a communication issue between FordSync in the Truck and FordPass app on the phone.

The solution involved setting location services for the FordPass app to "Always" (it had been set to only "While Using the App").

I’ve had the truck charge a 100% when it was set to the preferred settings. Also, experienced it not charging. Hopefully setting the location to always helps.
has anyone tried to contact Ford about this.

If you are using user profiles, make sure that the charging schedule is set in both your user profile and in the default/guest profile.

Spotty cell reception will affect the ability of FordPass to save changes to settings to the truck, but should not stop the truck from following the settings that are in the truck.

I haven’t tried it on the Lightning yet, but some EVs will bypass the schedule charging window if you unplug and plug back in a few seconds later.
