Hey everyone.

I got a 2022 Platinum and just got my Pro Charger installed. It's set to 80amps and was professionally installed to make sure I got the full 80amps.

I've looked online to try and understand what the kWh per hour should be for the charger but haven't found anything.

Wondering if anyone who has a charger can let me know what the kWh per hour is so I can make sure it's set up right and working.

Amps X Volts = Watt output

Output from your outlet is actually 220v (even though you often hear 240) and if you have 80 watts, then the math is easy:

220v X 80a = 17,600w or 17.6 Kw

You will have some loss due to the converter in truck (AC to DC). I often get about 15-16 kw actual charging. If you maintain that an hour, it would be 15-16 kwh into pack.

When my CSP was set to 64amps it was charging around 14kw/h. The battery issues (we still don’t know what the issue was?) made me a little paranoid so I turned it down to 48amps. It charges around 11kw/h at 48amp.

And if you live in NYC we typically get -208v because our old infrastructure can’t even support a proper 220v

Depends on your utility/ how they are getting to that voltage. Mine is running 125/250 currently.
