I was just notified my 2023 lightning lariat extended range is being shipped. I’ve gotten no notification about the charge station pro delivery. Curious as to others experience in terms of how long it took Sun Run to ship the charge station?

Once you take delivery you can call sun run and get it shipped. phone call takes about 5 mins but they need the vin and order information. Rep will assist. From there takes about 2-3wks to get
I tried the same thing and they won’t do it. Dealer can’t help either. Only way to get it in advance is have Sunrun do the install. Otherwise they ship it after it’s marked as sold in their system.

Are any others still having delays in getting their FCSP in a timely manner? I received my Lightning on 12/31/22 and as of today Sunrun says they still don’t have notification from Ford of the vehicle being sold. I have a photo of the screen the dealer uses to report the sale to Ford but that hasn’t helped with Sunrun so far. I’m in PA and they don’t install here so I just need it shipped.
It took almost 3 weeks after my sale was finalized to get a notice that SunRun was processing my unit. Then another two weeks to actually get it. Ford needs to offer these at point of sale and eliminate the 3rd party process which is very underwhelming.
SunRun is miserable. Had my truck a month and finally got the tracking number from them. Their customer service is horrible and I would think Ford is sorry they ever partnered with them.
I just picked up my truck on Friday. Dealer assured me it was updated in the system as “sold” so hopefully I hear from Sunrun soon, but I’m not holding my breathe. Clearly this is not a good system.
1. Charge Station Pro should ship with the truck.
2. We should have the option to purchase it in advance, and have the price deducted from the sticker price when the truck is delivered.

I begged my dealer and Ford but they will not let me purchase the unit before delivery. 😒

I just hung up the phone after my fourth (maybe fifth?) call to Sunrun's Ford team at (855) 341-0237. The woman on the phone confirmed my shipping location was good and I had done everything that was needed on my end, but a specialist would need to review my "order" because they still didn't have the confirmation of sale from Ford. That is the same message I got last Wednesday 1/18 and I never got a call or email back. She did tell me the specialists were behind and I should expect a call or email within 4-5 days.
My guess is that Ford ramped up vehicle output in December with the addition of the third shift at REVC, and Siemens (EVSE manufacturer), or Sunrun, or both were not prepared for that increase.
Lo and behold, not ten minutes after the phone call I got a email from Sunrun with the FedEx tracking number for my Charge Station Pro! So that is 23 calendar days after my dealer marked the vehicle sold in the Ford system. Seems consistent with the 3-4 weeks others have reported here. I totally agree with Larry above that these should just deliver with the vehicle but they probably cannot do that yet since it seems the charge station pros would be another shortage to the production line.

My completed my purchase on 1/16, called Sun Run on 1/19, and got the confirmed shipping email today. I'll have mine less than 2 weeks from the sale. Folks, it is worth calling once you know your sale has been recorded by Ford.

My experience with Sunrun mirrored others on this topic. They have been incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. I actually tried to work with them to do the install but they dragged their feet and then when they finally sent a rep to my home to do a "site inspection", this guy takes a few iPhone photos and leaves. A week later I called Sunrun to ask when I could expect my bid to install and the guy on the phone said, "I'm sorry but we lost all of your data and we will have to send out another person and start the process over." Seriously? I was really hoping to have the charger installed before the truck arrived (which is something Sunrun professes to do) but it became obvious that this was not going to happen so I called them and asked them to just ship my charger to me. They told me they couldn't do that until Ford notified them. I asked my dealer to remedy the situation and they told me that there have been a slew of complaints about Sunrun and mine will be added to the pile. I have an electrician in my home town who had installed a grid tied solar power system on my home so I called him and asked him to install the unit. After finally getting Sunrun to deliver the charger, my electrician installed it and it works great. I didn't have an issue charging with the portable charger prior to delivery of the 80 amp charger ... thought I would, but I didn't. My advice to others is avoid Sunrun like the plague and just learn the delivery scam. If you want the whole house backup system, you can buy it from Sunrun for $4000 and have your local electrician install it.
I have to add that Sunrun seems to be a very disjointed company that is spread out all over the place. My calls to the home office seemed to be going to Utah but other calls came in from various other places. One hand never seemed to know what the other hand was doing. I hope Ford comes to their senses on this situation.

This was suggested early on and I see it hasn't changed. The only way I see is to buy an FCSP aftermarket, making sure to get a receipt. Then, sell the one you receive after taking delivery of the truck. It's certainly an imperfect solution, but it establishes a basis and paper trail to claim the home charging station tax credit barring any IRS guidance to the contrary.

What completely slipped my mind earlier when I added my comments was the contract that Sunrun presented to me to sign (even though I had already decided to use my own electrician). It was a multi page confusing mass of legalese that needed my signature in multiple places allowing Sunrun to monitor my system using my own wifi and, I may not be remembering this correctly, but I think they also required physical access to my install in the future. That contract alone would've pushed me away if I had seen it before I even began. Just another reason to avoid Sunrun.
