The reservation that i will use was made in Miami, I live in Louisiana now. Can i change the delivery dealer? Today i went to a near by dealer and he told me that if i change the reservation i have the risk of loosing my spot.
The b plan is to buy it in Miami and drive back.
Any suggestions? Do I get an option to change the delivery dealer when I get the email to place the order? I should be getting the initial email soon, based on the reservation date: 5/23/2021.

If you think you are higher in order at Miami don't do anything until you get the email from Ford saying you can order your truck. Once you are selected and get the email the allocation is yours and you can move it to any dealer you want and then you can order immediately.

If you think the dealer you want to switch too is smaller and they tell you how many they have waiting, if it is a small list then you might be able to move it now and move up the list, but you could end up worse off, so you need to know how many are ahead of you at each dealership to make that decision.

I had a similar situation - reserved when I was in San Diego but live in Oregon now. Dealership in San Diego told me ‘nope can’t switch it’ which was a lie. I called Ford reservation phone number and they switched it no problem to a local dealership to me and I was able to order it and everything and am still part of the wave 6.
