If you upgraded your seats to the massaging (Active Motion) in your order and your Platinum has not been built, you may not be getting the massaging seats.

Ford seems to be all out of "Magic Fingers" chips.

I think I just snuck in on this. But I'm not completely sure - my window sticker doesn't show the delete yet, but my build date is June 29.

Given that this was one of, if not really the, primary reason I went with the Platinum ultimately versus an optioned Lariat, losing this would suck.

(don't judge me - it's a significant-other-acceptance-factor issue)

I'm really going to be pissed off if I don't get my seats that I ordered....6/18 build date....$300 credit doesn't seem right when my Lincoln had an option for the Active Motion seats that set me back $1500! Ford is not being very consumer friendly, especially after spending $94,000+.

So in essence for $94K you are getting a Lariat ER ($79K) with less mileage capability due to the larger tires?
Thanks for reminding me, lol. Yes, basically an extra $15K for nothing. I'm so friggin mad....think my wife will divorce me from all my fits over this truck! I was mad over the color choices to begin with, you'd think for a "Special" truck they would have had some eye candy colors. Check out the new tu-tones for the '23 F-150 Heritage......Awesome! Have to go puke again.

Due to a Multi-Contour Seat Module chip shortage, beginning June 27th 22MY F-150 Lightning
Platinum production, including retail, fleet and FCTP orders will be produced with a Multicontour
seats with Active Motion® Removal
They usually mean exactly what they say in these memos, which is good news for @jhughes8993 who thinks he won't get the good seats and bad news for @GoGoGadgetTruck , who thinks he might. I've got my fingers crossed for both of you. It kind of tarnishes the Platinum for a low, low $300 delete credit.

I was upset after reading your post, so I called my salesman to see if he could find anything out about this, since my truck had a Build Week of 6/13 and a build date of 6/18. He called me back to say that it was in production and it also showed that it was "getting ready for launch readiness", whatever that means. My Salesman had no idea what that meant. Any thoughts, thank you......?

Well damn, this stinks. I was looking forward to the Active Motion!!! Wish the chip could just be added in later. Hopefully it’s available in 3 years when this lease will be up

The most frustrating aspect to this is the fact there's no technological reason the "chips" couldn't be added later.

The differences between having the seat option and not are the seats themselves, modules, wiring loom, and programming.
They did the same thing to those of us who ordered deployable running boards.

If Ford wanted to generate good-will they'd allow those vouchers to count towards and after-sale installation of the removed feature for the face value of the voucher as the cost to customer.

It has been built but is awaiting final adjustments, checks or parts. Mine was at this stage for about a month after its 5/17 build.

do we have a VIN that was impacted by this? I'd love to look up the window sticker for it to see what the delete looks like on it.

mine still doesn't show a delete and does show the option despite an official build date of June 29.

I did have one thought about that though - if the build date wasn't official until the bedliner was added, it's possible that my build with respect to the time in the factory was before June 29, which would explain why I wouldn't be impacted by this. I have no idea if this is a reasonable train of thought or if I have gone completely off the tracks.

How much does it cost to add an option? That plus an inconvenience factor is how much you should get credit for. Don't advertise and sell something, then say never mind FU, please accept these bread crumbs as a consolation. The option list on a car should not be an aspirational document! (Just like airline schedules).

I just wanted to follow up as someone that was apparently right on the bubble. I took delivery today, and the seat functionality is there. I haven't played with it too much yet, but I can say that it's there, that it works, and there was no delete on the window sticker.
