Some companies use fake exhaust tips when testing EVs. I know Porsche has done it before but this seems like it's a functional exhaust

Yeah, and I don't know why Ford would go through the trouble of sticking on a fake muffler and exhaust tip for a product that everyone knows is coming (assuming this is an electric Explorer). That's why I'm leaning towards it being a mid-cycle refresh rather than an EV variant.
