28 charges in 12 hours is about an average of 26 minutes per session
With a full charge at ~40 minutes, that makes sense. He only charged add much as he needed to get to the next stop.

Well $268 would get me about 600 miles in my current F150.
I'll add the miles traveled from the Twitter link. I thought it was already posted in this thread.

"Total miles driven 2,635."

2635 mi/1154 kWh = 2.28 mi/kWh, which doesn't address charging losses and trip beginning and ending state of charge. He adds that he found 68 mph to be the sweet spot for efficiency and speed.

Yea, I was just thinking for $268 he drove 2600+ miles. I'd be lucky to get 600 miles on $268 (CA gas rates).

I really want to do a cross country road trip when my truck gets here.

and, the 'cross country' trip will be the most expensive trip in an EV than anything you do on a 'regular' basis. We talk about charging cost while tripping compared to the 'old school' gas costs, but the real value of an EV is the 'everyday' low cost of driving the vehicle on 'your own dime' ... and, not to mention the RIDICULOUSLY LOW rate of any maintenance costs, as part of the ICE conversation - 'miles' on EVs matters VERY LITTLE as compared to ICE vehicles. No more 'Take 5' oil change stops for me.

We’re planning a cross-country trip in our Lightning early in 2023 — pulling a trailer!
