Has anyone been able to find information about calibration or compatibility of the Lightning with 3rd party bedliners? Both my dealer and Ford customer service can't provide any information concerning adding a 3rd party bedliner after I take delivery of my truck. I was advised early on not to add the factory bedliner because it would delay the truck's delivery, but now I'm frustrated because no one has any information about how to add one. With how intense the calibration process looks from the factory videos of the Lightnings getting assembled, I'm worried a 3rd party bedliner will not perform well without a recalibration once it's installed.

I just had a 3rd part rhinoLiner installed no problem. What ‘calibration’ are you taking about? Scales? That’s self service.

Yes I'm talking about the ability to weigh the payload in the bed. Is that working correctly for you with the 3rd party liner? Does it always show a non-zero weight even when the bed is empty? Is there a way to "re-zero" the bed?

It’s fine. I didn’t see any impact and even if I did I can recalibrate zero weight easily. The spray in liner weight is insignificant.

I would agree an aftermarket liner shouldn't cause any issues. I believe the scales are calibrated at the end of the main assembly line and then sent offsite for the bed liner. There could be another calibration then, but it has never been talked about or mentioned. I think you are good with the aftermarket and no issues.

Also you can rezero them from the console with an empty truck. Just follow the prompts.

I haven’t watched this video yet but comments on it said the scales aren’t highly accurate.
