If anyone having an issue with every time you touch the brakes they click and tick? It's driving me crazy
Do you already have your brake pads replaced? A lot of mechanics don't know this but there are tabs on the pads they need to be pushed down and then the pads need to be forced onto the caliper and that keeps it from jumping up and down and doing what you call clicking but there's a lot of mechanics don't know how to do that they just put it on then they try to bang it down afterwards and it still leaves a space anyway good luck

No I haven't had them replaced yet but I have experienced that problem before no. This is more like a stop and go tick tick slow speed every time I just touch the brakes it goes tick tick tick

I have never had any noise yet - quietest vehicle I have ever owned. Can you let us know what your current mileage is and if you use one pedal drive all the time?

Let us know what the dealer finds - would love to know.

Thanks,

I have 29000km and I don't use one pedal drive that much
Thanks,

I’m curious on your decision not to use OPD? Is it your driving conditions/climate? I am guessing based on the “km” that you are in Canada and probably dealing with heavier snow and perhaps it’s not as effective in that. I am in Pennsylvania and we have yet to have ANY snow here so I could test mine in it - I am not “judging”, just trying to learn more from everyone here.

I personally really like the OPD - I rarely need to use the mechanical brakes and appreciate that it keeps the wear off them.

I will never look back to 2 pedal driving myself, i think that is one of the top 2 things I lov about my truck. Number 1 is the fuel savings.
I must say I often forget there is no OPD when I get in our minivan and almost coast into intersections...quite an adrenaline boost…but about the only one I get from the van now that Lightning is here… 😬

I prefer the Sport mode, mostly for the moderated braking as opposed to OPD - OPD is much too drastic & takes more pedal precision - Sport mode braking is more like Std tranny & acceleration & steering more "Sporty" 3500 miles in 5 weeks - love it !

Funny I had never noticed this click until you mentioned it but yes, every time you touch the brakes in forward motion only there is a distinctive single click, Not pads moving like someone else mentioned I think it is more electronic, doesn't bother me because I rarely touch the brakes.

This may be a matter of whether your window is up or down LOL. I don't know maybe I can tell the difference between a rock click and electro mechanical action I know this sounds like BS but I I put it into a category of a non-destructive sound. There is a difference.
