Between a rock and a hard place!

I got my invitation email to place my reservation. I placed my reservation and it went to the dealer (Damerow Ford in Beaverton, OR). I asked the dealer the next day for the purchase agreement. When they sent it, it had what looks like a bogus dealer rep name, customer name was crossed, and they wrote down with a pen a 5k markup on the printed agreement. Apparently once the order goes to the dealer, you can't change your dealer anymore. So I'm left with either excepting their markup, or losing my reservation and place in line. Does anyone know if there's a hidden option number #3? because this is ridiculous!!!

To be clear about where I got the information on the dealers being able to set the price online comes right from the Dealer pricing guide which has been posted on this forum - the direct link 0020.jpg

Another part of the document also states and shows how the dealer can cancel any order in the system before it goes into scheduled/production. While I believe all of us have had to put down some kind of deposit to the dealer, if you change your mind or want to back out, that dealer should refund your deposit. You know they have a line of people to sell that truck too.
Well said GDN, that's exactly what they did with me. They printed it and hand wrote the ADM. I also do worry about the sincerity of where they place you in their queue. If they say you're #5, what guarantees you that spot. Maybe your "Order Accepted by Dealer" status on Ford's website means your spot is locked in, i don't really know. Otherwise they can simply push the people who they managed to get most ADM from to production when the real allocation comes up.
Well, they have to doll out the allocations in order of timestamp of when the reservation was placed with one caveat - the first 25 slots they are free to allocate any reservations they wish in any order (for a 200+ reservation dealership). When you get your order email from ford it means that you were next in a place in the dealerships line to order. They can't move you out of the slot once you are selected in a wave, you're already allocated a build. What they probably are doing is slapping the most outrageous ADM on after the fact so that once you finalize your order with them you either have to accept or you decline and lose your reservation slot, and they move on to the next in line to rinse and repeat. I think that if on your online order when you ordered it didn't list an ADM and then they try to send you some picture of a handwritten note adding an ADM after the fact you should fight it. Send it to Ford Moco because this is exactly the kind of sleazy thing they are pulling their hair out trying to prevent.

Coral - are you saying the ADM would show up on the order on Ford's web site? I have a line item that says "Difference from total MSRP" with $0. Would the ADM be listed there?
Yes, it should show up there in the "Difference from total MSRP". That is where any legitimate additions should be found. These represent ADM that the dealer included in their form they submitted to Ford along with the prioritization back in December. That information would then appear in the build & price tool.

However, there are really despicable dealers who are then trying to write an additional markup on a printed buyers order.

The invitation to convert was to you as the customer. If the dealer cancels your order, they lose that truck. You also then have the opportunity to set the order back up with another dealer.
