Can auto heating of batteries be turned off? Is it on all the time??

Just to clarify, there’s an always on feature to keep your battery temp from being extremely low or high for the health of the battery. It appears more aggressive when plugged in vs unplugged but you cannot disable this nor should you.

Meanwhile, there is a Remote Start and Departure Time feature that more aggressively brings the battery to an ideal temp for max performance. The latter is the most aggressive. Those are opt in features that you have to activate or configure.
The real bummer for me is that the Remote Start feature requires cell connectivity for the vehicle so I cannot use this at home. Luckily, my garage is heated to 55 degrees all winter.
I'm not sure it requires cell connectivity. Did you connect your truck to your home WiFi?
Yes, truck is connected to home wi-fi. I have never gotten an OTA update at home. I did get one when driving once (where I had good cell coverage).
