So Ford announced they increased the price of only the base model. To me it feels like a cheap ( or rather expensive) marketing move. They know that no one can actually buy the base model, so it seems they are only trying to make the lariat buyers feel better about the 90k they going to drop on the extended version. Gee, it’s only 35k higher than the model I can’t buy?, relative to the 45k difference before.

My original Base model was going to cost me $28,500 with tax incentives.

When I ordered in September, they would only sell the Lariat and I will no longer qualify for the tax incentive when it arrives.

My $28,000 Lightning is now costing me $80,000.

Not good…

The 80k limit for tax incentives are even for cars that will be delivered before 12/31/2022 ?

No, the $80K limit and the income limit don't take effect until 1/1/2023
