Does anyone know of if it is possible to remote start from the key fob? I know we have the app to remote start, but that can be more cumbersome than it's worth when I'm just walking out from the store to start it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you definitely can start from the app. I was hoping to be able to start it with the key fob as well.

I haven’t figured out how either. The frunk button takes the remote start button space from the other similar ford key. Surely there could have been a way. I hate waiting on the app too…. On this note, interesting the day when we can’t have patience to give the extra 20 second delay. Lol. When you consider: that you take a tiny computer out of your pocket…it connects immediately to high speed internet, opens software and links data for your registered vehicle… it then sends, to outer space, a signal which hits a few satellites and within seconds, locates and sends beam signal to your truck, anywhere in the world, practically at that moment to open or “start” your vehicle to provide artificial climate change. Pretty damn amazing and I want it to be EASIER! Hahahaha

For the Mach-E you can’t using the fob, you have to use the app. Is the software/setup seem fairly similar, I doubt we’ll have the fob-option. But one can only hope.

I didn't look that hard at it, but the key fob looks the same for the Lightning as the Mach E.

Hi. We just we linked our phone to remote start. Mentioned to my partner about the frustration with pulling up an app on phone and pressing start for a moment to get working.
He said,”Better to work from remote locations like the back of the house rather than a remote start on keyfod that has to have a fairly clear sight line to work.”

What Key fob remote start needs line of sight? They aren’t infrared like a TV remote.
