Who else has an August scheduled production date! Later than I was hoping but only ordered a month ago so I can’t be too upset! Can’t wait to see the truck in my garage. Already scheduled for my electrical service to be upgraded to fully take advantage of the 80amp charger.

I ordered 2/3 & build date is 8/29. When I ordered I was told 24 weeks, this will end up being 36 weeks to delivery. Others ordered the same truck after me and are receiving it before me…..argh!

It’s very frustrating but it does truly come down to location and dealer. Ford doesn’t want to over saturate one market with a bunch of Lightnings, they want them spread out to, well, spread the word. I saw on the tracker someone placed their order at the beginning of May and have a build date in July. I think it’s because they are in Canada and there may be fewer orders up there right now.

I am now scheduled for production! No email, but I logged into my ford.com account today and saw I am now scheduled for the week of 08/08 production! I have a Star White Lariat on order for delivery to CO. I am obviously very excited. From what I have read 6-8 weeks from production to delivery is normal. Is that what you all have heard? So, technically that will be a Fall delivery instead of summer. Given how close that is to the time normal 2023 models would be arriving on lots, do any of you think our August production vehicles might be called 2023 models? What do you think is a likely production to delivery schedule?

Not sure about you, but I ended up removing pretty much any extras/accessories from my order. I have a Lariat now queued for production on 08/08, as of today! I ordered 04/15. In order to ensure the most expedited production date, I removed all-weather floor mats, absolutely no protection being added to the truck bed, power running boards were removed, etc. Yes, I have the higher end model, and yes I added the tow package, the extended range battery and all that comes with it, but I think it helped to remove anything that might have been considered an "Accessory" or anything that might be installed off-site. Anyway, I am very excited and you should be, too. We are the lucky few who will even have a Lightning parked in our driveways in 2022.

Do you mind sharing some more details about your scheduled electrical upgrade? I have a Lariat on order for 08/08 production. With that, it comes with the Ford Charge Station Pro. Are you adding the Home Integration System or just installing the Ford Pro Charge Station? Are you having the work done by Sunrun? I have a large solar system on my roof, but unfortunately not through SunRun. My last house had SunRun, but my newer house is a flat roof, so SunRun was unwilling to do solar panels for this house. I had to find a different company that would do a flat roof install. Anyway, that said I wonder what SunRun will say if they have to tap into a solar system that is not theirs. I'm sure part of this partnership with Ford is that they want to upsell you for other products like panels (if you don't have them already) or backup batteries, etc. Any insights to this?

I don't think this is necessarily true about the MY23 hitting lots. First off, I don't think there will be any hitting lots for general sale until next summer, due to the high conversion rate and high reservations numbers. As you can see on this other thread, Job #1 for MY23 isn't until 10/10/2022 which means the first MY23 delivery will probably occur sometime in December. I agree that ours will be Fall Delivery instead of Summer, I'm just excited to get one and don't really care if its a 22 or 23

Interesting take, I'm not sure if that made a difference or not for you. I kept everything with the Platinum, as well as most of the add-ons and accessories and still received an August date. Interesting take though.

At present, I'm just having my service upgraded from 200AMP to 400AMP to accommodate the required max 100AMP dedicated circuit needed to maximize the use of the FCSP. My house is less than 5 years old so the electric company already had the larger service to the house, we just didn't have it metered or the panel to accommodate. So, the electrician is adding a second 200AMP panel in our basement, then when the FCSP arrives, we will run the direct wire from the unit to the new panel and I can maximize my at home charging capabilities. Additionally, this will allow me in the future to add the home integration system, should I want to pay the $4k plus install. We are lucky enough not to lose power often so I'm not chomping at the bit to pay for something I may never use. With that being said, the $4k plus install is cheaper than a whole home generator that requires constant cycling and will waste fuel.

I can't speak to SunRun but, I do not think you will have an issue with them tapping in to another manufacturer. Just be sure you need the capability first.

No accessories ordered. Just tow package and extended range battery.

I did not remove spray-in bed liner, and power running boards were never an option for me. But I did change my color from Oxford to Star White about 8 days ago.

Sorry, you may have misunderstood my comment. I was saying Sept/Oct is the normal time for other manufacturers to deliver 2023 vehicles to lots. Meaning a typical new model year vehicle that isn't a brand new Lightning would typically be delivered to lots starting in Sept/Oct, so I was opening a dialogue as to whether that meant our August Lightnings might become 2023 models instead of 2022, simply due to how close that is to a normal 2023 MY release date. Probably not, but having the 2023 time stamp on the vehicle would be nice for future resale alone.

Very nice! Sound like we have the exact same build, reservation, and production dates. I was just about 2 weeks ahead of you on my order date. I wish I could have a spray-in bed liner from the factory.

The VIN DATE CODE determines the model year, you have been scheduled, you have been assigned a 2022 model year vehicle, when it arrives on the sales lot, is not relevant, the last MY 22 truck is expected to roll down the assembly line on or before 10/9/2022

On 08/04/2022 - 2023MY Scheduling Begins
On 10/10/2022 - 2023MY First serialized truck begins blend on the line.
