NEW Issue. All the sudden, I have no audio. Can't play radio, or Bluetooth has no audio. Inside the volume knob, the "Power Button" is off and greyed. If I try to turn it on, I see the blue recognition of hitting said button but it doesn't turn on. If I of to the FM, it says "Audio off" and can't change that. If I play BT music it shows like it's "now playing" but no audio output. Bluetooth calls takes it from my phone but again no audio and I see the power off but can't turn it on. I hope that @Ford Motor Company can help me from this angle. I spent about an hour on the phone with Ford support but we didn't get anywhere. I know he was sending up to teams that could help but so far no call back. Perhaps no one here (besides Ford of course),can help, but the resolution may help someone in the future.

It seemed fine yesterday early, Ford support DID have me step through a interesting "reset" that in was about the door lock button and closing and opening door and power cycle stuff with no luck either

Do you get your door dings and other chimes through the speakers? If not check your amplifier fuse. There may be more than one, but I know there is at least one in the passenger footwell fuse box. it is listed in the manual.

I assume you did a reset of the infotainment system? Do you have the 12” landscape or the 15.5” portrait display?

Ford tech support walked me through a reset of SYNC that had power off, open door, hit lock button 2/3 times. Close the door to double honk. Wait 2 minutes and start. Nothing. This is the big screen

I’ll check on door dings. I can state that the seat belt chime is far more annoying and different sounding than before.

That is because it is being played from a different speaker due to the stereo issues you report. While all are programmed to play through the stereo, there are certain safety beeps like the seatbelt that have backup methods, so you are hearing the secondary beep.

If you don't have a blown fuse, Likley pulling the 12v cable for 15 minutes will probably fix it.

No, I meant the simple one:
REBOOTING THE CENTER
DISPLAY
You can reboot the center display using
the controls on the steering wheel.
1. Simultaneously press and hold the
seek forward and volume down button
for 10 seconds.

I’ll try this version when I get my lazy bum in the truck today. Thanks for recommendation.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Lightning concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Absolutely. Thanks for joining in. I spent another hour or so on the phone today with the over the air update and sync team for a few more resets and no good results. I will message you my VIN, and there should already be an open case for this Vin number in the Ford system per my prior conversations. Dealer is Akins Ford in Winder Georgia.

Update: in case this happens or similar. Ford chat had me combine the 2 button RE-set followed by key cycle steps, into one continuous step. No change. Impatient, I did some Google to find older SYNC suffering similarly in some cases. Solved by pulling fuses, so… I pulled both the radio (#32-20a) and amp (#28-30a) fuses for 30 sec. Upon restart, I had AUDIO fuzz from FM! And nav was geographically correct again. Then cluster warning to “come to a safe stop” and a warning light (small red truck with “!” In cab). Drove fine…. Parked and charged as normal. FordPass app showed “high voltage battery warning” and cited system communications failure. Makes sense as I broke the circuit intentionally. Assumed I may need a dealer to clear codes… but this morning all was well and seeming back to normal including FordPass stays with no more alert and green check ✅. And warning light/message gone… PHEW! Much happier day again! I knew as a pioneer, we would experience a glitch in the matrix. Glad it was short and didn’t include a dealer trip and a loaner! I’m honestly loving the Lightning and was saddened that it may get stuck at my dealer. But no need.

I have the exact same issue and tried taking the 2 fuse out and put them back. It didn't do anything. Do I need to keep the truck on while doing that? Getting dealer appointment after 2 weeks. Any more suggestions?

Interesting, mine did the exact same thing about 2 months ago while driving home from an evening meeting. Parked in my garage and plugged it back in to be fully charged the next day. The next day everything was working as it should. I did nothing to reset it. Updates are set to automatic. curious!

Did you ever find a resolution with this?
