API and or 3rd party tracking apps ?

I likely need to go spend some time on the MachE forum, but curious if anyone here is aware of any 3rd party tracking apps or if Ford allows 3rd party access to the EV's data stream and API?

The best I know to do is note Teslafi.com. Tesla has a full API so that you can read/capture your own data from your car (or Teslafi and other apps do it for you with your token/credentials).

These apps are invaluable for tracking your drives, efficiency at different temperatures and elevations. They can monitor charging sessions and calculate efficiency and costs. You also have access to most remote car functions - lock, unlock, HVAC, lock, unlock, vent the windows, open frunk, trunk, etc.

I know the basic functions will be able to be handled by the Ford app, but I don't know if they have any good tracking and history of the vehicle.

If you are wondering why you might want something like this - this is from my Model 3. Tracking my battery efficiency and capacity against the other crowdsourced cars registered at Teslafi. The app tracks all of my charging sessions and compares my battery to those of others based on same age and temperature at charges, etc.

It’sa great idea but those data aren’t open yet — at least not to normal mortals. However, there are options using OBDII readers that many on the Mach E Forum are more using.

I think these apps and kinds of data are invaluable to us as the batteries and usage are so new to us all. It's so much about the BMS and how well they manage the battery. I'd like to be able to collect this kind of data from the day I get the truck. I'll go investigate further.

Thanks - was not familiar with them. Definitely hoping for something like Teslafi so I can have all the detailed data points of my own truck. Guess it will all be about someone getting to the API and building the interfaces.
Pulling this thread up to warn folks: I recommend you kill any third party apps that are accessing your truck or your Ford account, including Recurrent. Running unapproved APIs that access your truck or the Ford account can cause you to be locked out of your Ford account and FordPass.
