Anyone else having problems getting their deposit back from Fl dealers?

I cancelled my 23 XLT and was told my deposit would not be returned. I’m dealing with Ferman Ford in Clearwater. My buddy who just cancelled his XLT order with Karl Flammer Ford in Tarpon Springs had his returned in less than a week. There is a FL statute 501.976, if no receipt is produced by the dealer outlining terms and conditions, deposit must be refunded. Anyone else having this problem? I have sent a formal complaint to the FL DMV. LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

Send a copy of the complaint to the dealer with a request that they refund the deposit.
The dealer is the one refusing to issue a refund. Their explanation is they are getting too many cancellations. When I contacted Ford customer service, I was told it is up to the dealer, even though Ford took my deposit.

The dealer is the one who got the money, not Ford. Check your credit card statement. If you used the online reservation and order process, you agreed to the Terms and Conditions fine print on the reservation and order here, you have to expand the additional boilerplate at the bottom:

Good luck!
in FL the dealer has to issue the terms and conditions via receipt to the depositor. All of the terms and conditions spelled out by Ford state it is the dealer who sets the terms and conditions for the sale. I never received a receipt from the dealer with that info. I only received a preview order 5300, which was never executed. No mention of deposits.
FL 501.976 (10) Require or accept a deposit from a prospective customer prior to entering into a binding contract for the purchase and sale of a vehicle unless the customer is given a written receipt that states how long the dealer will hold the vehicle from other sale and the amount of the deposit, and clearly and conspicuously states whether and upon what conditions the deposit is refundable or nonrefundable.
Please make sure to update us as to what happens.
Did you place your order on the Ford.com? I think when you did that there were terms and conditions set by the dealer. One being about the refundability of the deposit
Just received an email from the dealer. They are sending out my refund
