When I use it, it goes all the way up, then back down. Does not matter how many times I do it. I have to do it just a little at time to get it to shut and stay shut.

I'm waiting to have it looked at until I need more work done since I can get it shut.

Thoughts? Anyone else?

That's an issue with F-150s in general as well as other Fords. It is easy to remedy using the instructions on page 129 of the manual. Search for Resetting One-Touch Close:

Resetting One-Touch Close
Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.
1. Close the window.
  1. Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open. Keep the window control switch pressed for a few seconds.
  2. Lift and hold the window control switch until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control switch held for a few seconds.
  3. Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open. Keep the window control switch pressed for a few seconds.
  4. Lift and hold the window control switch until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control switch held for a few seconds.
Note: Repeat the procedure if the window does not close when you use one-touch.

The never closing window was one of three problems I brought to the dealer within two months of ownership. Another was a problem with the charging door latch (it would frequently not catch after repeated attempts) and the third had to do with the power button for the "frunk" (it was unresponsive but only some of the time. The chime would not even sound).

For the window, the tech followed the procedure I had seen on Youtube and which is outlined in another of the responses here. It worked and has not reverted.

As for the other two issues, he dismissed my concerns over the "frunk" button because it did not fail for him (I told him it was about 3 out of every 20 times). Consequently, he did not do an actually diagnostic on it (grrr!). The charger door response was even worse. Essentially he said, 'Yeah, they are balky. Deal with it." Oh well.

I noticed that the frunk button (the one under the grill) won’t work if the truck doors are locked. It only works if the doors are unlocked.
Yes, I checked that too. It would just randomly not respond. Sometimes it would open but not close, close but not open, etc. Using the fob was still an option that worked as, I am sure, using the button inside the cabin. It was a minor inconvenience. If it were more than that, I would have been a bit more insistent that the tech do more than say that I was wrong.

Yep, that one is flakey. I've been using my app, fob, or in truck button.

Hello there! If you are able to send over a private message with your VIN and dealership info, I can look into this for you.

As it should work!
I meant to say if you open the frunk with the fob while the truck doors are locked, the button under the grill won’t close the frunk unless you unlock the doors first. Sorry should have been more clear. But defeats the purpose of the button under the grill.
