Quite frustrating that I configured the truck to charge starting at Midnight PST, but it seems to have a delayed start till nearly 4am. I come out in the morning with a relatively low charge wondering why I don't have more range.

The truck clock reflects accurate PST time, Phone is on accurate PST, and both the app and the truck show that charging will start at midnight. Was starting to think that some clock someplace is configured in a different time zone, but 4 hours behind doesn't match any north american time zone.

Anyone else have scheduled charging not start when you configured it?

Any chance that you had a Departure Time set? I think it uses that as a priority to calculate back the time to start your charge, as long as that is within your preferred charge schedule setting.

From the users' manual:

Pg 216
Departure and Comfort
Press the edit button for departure and comfort settings. Setting departure times allows you to control charging schedules and warm or cool your cabin and the high voltage battery when your vehicle is plugged in, so your vehicle is ready to drive when you are. By setting a departure time, your vehicle can use your charging time preferences to minimize your electricity costs but still prioritize finishing charging before your scheduled departure.

Pg 218 states this:
Note..... Charging pauses when the rest of the charge can be done within the preferred charging windows.

I take this to mean that the car will not charge right away when your charge window opens, unless that's needed to accomplish your stated charge level before the departure time. Instead I think (yeah, tough assumption here) that the truck backs out the time needed so that it is done getting charged to your preferred level at the selected time of departure.

Try a time other than exactly midnight.

Hello! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this charging concern for you? Thank you!
