there is no exact or perfect method, you must call or personally go by and let them know you have a 'order' email and would like them to be your dealer, then ask the ADM question, then get it in writing.

You should be able to call Ford Customer Care or go directly to the new dealer. However, you received the order invite because of that specific dealers allocation being called. This means that, unless your new dealer also has allocation for a Lightning in this wave, you may be bumped back.

I think you are confusing an invite to convert your reservation to an order, with your crappy dealer trying to sell you one of the extra allocations he received. Wait for the real email to arrive from Ford Motor Co, then switch to another dealer, just before submitting the order. FYI, this won't be for a 2022 model

Yes. Call Ford at (800) 334-4375 and tell them you have the email invitation from Ford to order a Lightning and would like to transfer you reservation from Dealer A to Dealer B so that you can order today. Then, get them to explain what you need to do next.

You will want to build your truck in your online Ford account and co-ordinate with your new dealer to accept the order. I went to the dealer with the order built and saved in my account and actually pushed the button in their presence so that they could accept it.

I had the same thing happen to me. My dealership tried to add the markup at the last minute and they tried to get me to submit the order. I called the number in the email and I successfully moved my reservation to a dealership which would sell at msrp. I then placed the order with them and saved $10k. build date week of 8/8
