Are all Lariat trims coming with Space Gray Leather interiors now?

My sticker says Black interior, the Ford website says Black interior. Where did this new color come from and why were we not notified and allowed to change our exterior color? And why are they still making ICE F-150s with Black interiors?

I went with the Carbonized Gray exterior because I felt it went well with the Black interior. Now I have Carbonized Gray exterior and Gray wheels and Space Gray interior - fifty shades of gray happening now.

I might have a difficult time accepting a $80K vehicle that is not what I ordered - probably Ford's intention. Dealers will get to sell the rejected orders. Boo Ford!

I already mentioned how much I like the change. I'm in a black hole interior now.

Living in the south may have a bit to do with it, but I despise what I have now. Ironically, when the order book opened on it, the blue color I chose showed a space gray/stone gray, etc. in promo photos with the 'pre-production model' caveat. Several months later, only white cars could get space gray.

I guess we'll all see it different, but I truly prefer and wanted black. Not sure how they can have such a screwed up change of direction and not address it. Truly shows they don't care, they aren't going to open pandora's box and address it, there would be no winning for them. They know we'll take whatever they ship, so they can get away with it.

It was hard to tell online but I think it always had the gray. I am in the happy it’s grey camp. Black is too hot for California. Even Northern California.

I like all black. If you want you can go to katz or whatever and have it made all black.

edit: though I can say it'll be a nice match with the wheels. I had a red car with carbonized grey wheels and it looked good. If the seats match that, that'll be neat at least. But I still like black When you clean them they shine so much better than anything else.

Happy with gray.. hate black interiors and was not thrilled initially that there were no interior color options. So, pleasantly surprised.

As you build your Lightning if you click on the 360 view on the interior section you can clearly see it is two-tone and has been since the builder became available....

Nope, the two tone is only on the Platinum. We are talking the Lariat here.

I just pulled up my 360 degree view on the order tracker and it is definitely two tone. I'm not sad about it but not what I thought I ordered.

I'm in the camp of all black. Online and my order page makes it appear that the seats would be all black . I wish Ford would give as many options as the ICE 150, black, slate or tan.

My window sticker lists "Black Leather Trim Bucket Seat". And that is what it is Trimed in Black.

That is definitely two tone interior in that image. You are getting hung up on the computer image shadow. Look at the 2nd row, you can see the black leather on the sides of the seats and the gray on the inside. If you look close at the front seats you can see the same. I do agree that the color should not be called "black" but rather Black/Gray Two-Tone.

Bottom line is you cannot trust the pictures and in most cases Ford puts an asterisk on them and says they may not represent final vehicle. Ambient cup holders is a big one here - our trucks don't have them, but they show in most every picture. However, their description never said it would have Ambient lighted cupholders, simply Ambient lights, so this leaves them an out.

So you rely on the descriptions of the seats. Every case for the Lariat they are described as black leather. What they are delivering is not what they described they would.

Ford said all parts for this truck are priority over ICE. Clearly a misrepresentation was made. A huge and embarrassing error on Fords part as far as I'm concerned.

My wife hates black interiors and the grey really is too dark also. By the time my order comes around there will be more options.

I did a double take on mine as well when it came in yesterday. I chose black trim leather seats and they came grey. I went back and built one again online and it does look like a dark grey with black trim. The ones that I got are a much lighter grey but they do have “black trim” so I guess I can’t really complain. Living where it gets over 120 degrees the lighter grey might be a better option anyway.
