I am getting intermittent connection issues with Android auto. I have a Galaxy s22 ultra 5g and it does not always connect to Android auto when getting into my truck. I am so frustrated with this that I might just move to iPhone because of it. Anyone else having this issue and how did you solve it? Would anyone tell me their experience with apple carplay?

@805bestdeals i have the same phone as you and having the same problem with intermittent connection issues when trying to connect wirelessly. Sometimes it connects flawlessly and sometimes not at all.

I have tried deleting the phone from Sync and then adding it, rebooting, every setting combination possible, but still having problems.

Any updates on your end? Trying to get help from @ford with no luck.

Same issue, same phone. Also, sometimes when I make calls I have to toggle between headset and Bluetooth on Android auto to hear the caller. The Android auto on the truck registers the call but I have no audio until I toggle it.

I had a pixel 4A and android auto was an absolute pain, it connected about 30% of the time. I was due for a new phone, I now have the Pixel 7 Pro. Android auto connects more frequently, maybe 60% of the time. It is a bit maddening. It does work perfectly though, hooked up through the USB connection near the charger. Annoying, but I guess there are worse things? My Techy son says android auto has always had problems.

Hi guys. Matter of interest.. with the S22+ / Ultra, are you guys running Galaxy watches as well?

I have noticed with several vehicles that sometimes the watch seems to "hig" Bluetooth connectivity, with failures to connect to numerous car systems (Ford, Nissan, Acura, etc.).
Just wondering if y'all have that combination going as well. I've noticed I can go through sevral "start-up" procedures (shut the vehicle off, re-connect with Bluetooth, toggle the phone bluetooth on-and-off.. none of it helps. But shut the watch down, and it connects right up...

No watch for me. Just the phone. So annoying. I have an 80k vehicle that I can't reliably use Android Auto on. @Ford Motor Company please address this issue.

I have a Pixel and it is the same thing. it was also the same way in my Mustang. It could be both Ford and Google. I just find that sometimes if the order is off it is dead on arrival. Took me 10 minutes yesterday to finally get it to connection after rebooting the infotainment twice. I want to put the blame on Android Auto however. It happens with Galaxy phones, my Pixel; it is a google thing.

BUT @Ford Motor Company on top of that when it is FUBAR, I can't then switch to USB easily since I can't use that (by myself) while driving. You could in Sync 3. In the effort to not distract you, they instead piss you off and upset you because something that should be easy and not get in your way, causes you to be even more distracted.
