Does anyone know if the standard F150 steps will fit? AMP is pushing the Amp XL with the added cover. I’m not a fan of the cover, added weight or price.
The only other difference I can see is they are longer.

Get the AMP XL so it will hide the sticking out battery and frame from underneath the retracted doorsteps!

how easy was the wiring?

Wiring is easy if you got the user manual and all the correct parts. In my case I got shipped the wrong brackets no user manual and missing parts. I believe they have not sold to many of these so it is still a work in progress. Once I got shipped the right parts from AMP everything was easy. Four wires connect underneath the dash and the module bolts on to the battery easyly. I will post some photos as soon as I get a chance...

Curious if these tie in to the truck computer - ie can you force deploy from the screen? I have seen the factory boards can be controlled from the screen, and curious if aftermarket can be as well?
