A Tesla Model S caught fire in Sacramento and according to fire fighters it took 6,000 gallons of water to put the fire out. They shared some information and answered questions about dealing with an EV fire.
EV fires are not harder to put out, they just require different techniques. There are other threads on this topic here. The best bet is a dunk tank.
