I’ve been driving my truck for 3 weeks now and enjoyed the instant speed available especially on the highways. Today out of nowhere I got a warning at 75mph that I was approaching my 80mph speed limit restriction. I have not implemented anything new with my preferences and have sped above this speed many times before. I’ve checked the “my key” options that are referenced on the warning screen but nothing is listed about an 80mph max. I have the local speed limit sign recognition option turned off.
Anyone else experience this (perhaps an update casually?) and how do I turn it off? I is amazingly annoying and distracting while driving on the highway.

Is the truck speed actually limited to 80 mph or is it just a warning? It really sounds like a MyKey limit I had on one Fusion key fob I had.

Maybe it's a 'teen driver' setting? Or, a fleet owner type of setting somewhere? My speed limit warning flashes the speed limit sign bottom right. I think there is a setting that gives another option. This sounds like a software implemented 80 mph threshold.

(It sure would be nice to have searchable settings on the truck like an iPhone has since there is no rhyme, reason, or ability to change the order of the settings tiles that Ford chose)

Blue Cruise won't operate above 80 mph. Were you using Blue Cruise?

Thank you for your replies and feedback. 100% agree that I would love a search function to better assist finding things in the very complicated and layered menu settings. Attached are pictures of the warnings I get. To my knowledge I do not have the teen mode activated but then again, I have no idea where that would even be found. I do not have blue cruise enabled. Also attached is a picture of the my key settings which are very few if any. Not sure how to turn this off.

Did you buy a dealer demo? It looks like there is already a key programmed under MyKey. Did you see if you get this with the other key fob being used or try to remove the existing MyKey programming?

No, this is my custom order I put in 15 months ago. I got it with 38 miles on it. I established my key under my profile a couple weeks ago without any issues. I think what I’m going to try is to delete the key, which may have other impacts that I’ll discover, and then see if it resolves this issue starting over again with a clean key profile.

Very clear the warning is coming from MyKey. You've got to clear them.

Clear the MyKey and/or use the Admin keys. Should be good to go then.
