To the folks who are taking delivery of their Lightnings in early May and opted for the Power Back Up option, has anyone taken delivery of that charger yet??
Supposedly, according to Ford, the owners should be taking delivery of those chargers.
Ford hasn't released any info on that subject lately. Any info??

I thought the charger was supposed to be shipped to the customer before the truck so it could be wired and ready when the truck arrives.

I would like to see the charger arrive couple weeks early also. WiFi configured and ready for charging. Will see.

Ford isn’t going to just send everyone who orders a truck with the ER battery a charger worth a couple of grand. They don’t even know if you will actually buy the truck.

I think the only way to get it in advance is to schedule the installation through Sun Run.

I did not use SunRun to install my solar panels. I don't have SunRun equipment in my home. I have Enphase batteries and a Grid Switch. So....kindly SunRun cannot help me with the installation. So, I have to wait until Enphase has a patch for my system. In the meantime I am going to wire the charger as usual. Nice to have the charger installed prior to the trucks arrival at my place.

Bureaucratic things don't happen overnight, but one way to accomplish this would be to collect an additional deposit (and necessary legalese) on the Lightning order at the dealer side to offset the cost of the Charge Station Pro.

I think what he's trying to say is, no one that has a Lightning on order has paid for it. Therefore they haven't paid for the Ford Charger Pro Station. It is worth at least 1000 bucks. Why would they send that to you before you have the truck?

I understand. I was proactive with my Mach E. I will be proactive with my truck also. No worries. I am not complaining. I would be nice to have the equipment ahead of time and plug it in as soon as it comes home.
I am in preparations mode now.

I believe they are supposed to contact buyers a week or two before Lightning delivery, to deliver or schedule installation of the charger so it could match up with the truck delivery. Either way my solar company is doing the install and is running the wiring so when my Lightning is here they can hang the charger and be done. I believe there is a pdf out there for those that aren’t using SunRun for their installation or the home integration. Works fine for me since I already have solar and battery backup and the ev charger install is included in my solar/battery install.

I'm going to say NO one is getting units from SunRun for a bit. I forced the issue with them and I was told that IT issues are preventing them putting out quotes. I know that is not true. I see many other people getting quotes. So I do not know why it is going on 4 weeks and SunRun can't put a quote out. A local company turned it around in 1 day.

Received a confirmation email saying they would notify me when it ships. I still don't have an exact build date. The current info on build is the week of June 20th. Lariat ER

Heh, I got an email from SunRun today: "Last chance to upgrade your home for the F-150 Lightning™!"

Ten days from blend date, I live in a state they don't operate in. I'm going to go along with them and play with the bait. After all, it's my LAST CHANCE™!

Edit: Not much to play with, email link to SunRun site leads to name of local electrical contracting company and a link to order HIS from AEE for $3,895. There is no information about how to have the Charge Station Pro delivered. It's lonely here at the LAST CHANCE™ Saloon.

That is good news. That was my understanding from the beginning of the ordering process. Once you order the truck, you have committed yourself in getting it.
My built date is June 13th. I also have a Lariat ER on order. It seems from what I have seen that the first 2 weeks of June is a huge Lariat build. Waiting for the email to schedule for the charger.

Yes it will come with the truck if you opt out of a SunRun install.

Do you know how that is triggered? Will someone contact you? Or by default if you haven't talked to sun run it'll come with the truck?

Don't know. From what I have read, I assumed Ford will ship the charger to the ones that have ordered the truck. I don't need SunRun. I already have solar panels and storage batteries which they came with a grid switch. Enphase is looking how to integrate the Lightning into their system. It will take some time to interphase their system with the Lightning. One proprietary system interfacing with another proprietary system. Now, I am only interested to install the 80amp circuit so I will be ready when the truck is here.
