I've been trying to find out if the lightning will have a build option for a 6th seat. I don't want to leave a kid behind... well depends on which one is bugging me the most at the time 😆.
Anyone know if the lightning could come with 6 seats?
Thanks

Read the Tech Specs. The Lightning will come in one configuration: 5 seat supercrew cab with 5.5' bed, 4WD. Looks like you'll have to toss one of them in the bed.

Thanks, although that is quite disappointing. I thought maybe there would be an option. I guess I'll have to give one of them a bigger coat or I'll just buy a gas truck that will haul 6.

Its a deal breaker question for some. I'd buy the truck but only if seats six. I believe the Cyber Truck will.
That would be interesting. I don't recall what the truck at reveal had, but Tesla has never put a bench in the front of any car. It might be an option I guess, but it better have buckets or least an option for them.

It was a 6 seat configuration at launch

Coming up on a year and never once did they say it was going to be six seats. The Lightning was always going to favor the specs that most people ordered for the F150. And the CT may never appear.

My 2002 Ford Supercrew has a front seat center armrest that can be folded up to become a center seat in front. Actually, I see no reason my Lightning Pro can't have this. The silly shifter that could be a push button on the dash and the storage box replaced with a folding arm rest. I would much prefer to carry my 2 gkids, their parents, and my wife than have that silly shifter. Ford understood this in 2002. That 2002 screw is still chugging along with 220k miles and pulling a trailer for the gkids now. Perhaps with a few years under their belt with the Lightning, Ford will make room for 6 again in a full size pickup.

They might do something with whatever they are going to announce in the coming year. I'm a shifter fan, I rest my hand on it when I'm driving. And daily I'm backing into a tight space at home, so not having to stop eyeballing what I'm looking at to make sure I'm in R vs D is a bonus for me because in the Mach E I have still had to look down. And I have an unnatural abhorrence to a column shifter.
