This started on a Mustang Mach E forum. it’s a good way to compare progress in vehicles planned for the same time as yours. Others can start them for the other weeks. I’ll start one for the 5/16 gang. Post here if you’re scheduled for the week of 5/16.

I’m really looking forward to getting the lightning. Since ford gave an estimate delivery of 24 weeks upon my order on 2/3/2022, I guess I would be estimating a delivery date of 07/25/2022. Any thoughts from future lightning buyers??

With a build date of 5/16 I would guess a June delivery.

05/16 build date confirmed.

XLT, Iced blue, Extended range, max tow, weather mats, spray in bed liner. Excited to get it, Disappointed they won't do a burnout.
If you want an EV for burnouts, check the Chevy Bolt. Sport mode on, traction control off, Low rolling resistance tires, 200 hp add a bit of moisture and/or cold temps and it becomes a wheel spinning machine. Ours was repurchased (battery fire risk with no end on sight) and once I knew it was going to be their problem I stopped caring about being kind to the tires. Like all fwd cars, inside front tire spins very easily when turning and accelerating. Add in EV torque and 200+up at low speed. It is a bummer that our lightnings won't behave like that, but probably better for them and us long term. I don't have a build date yet, but ordered Feb 18 lariat ER max tow.

5/16 Build date for my Carbonized Gray Metallic Lariat 511A. I would have liked the deployable running boards but that was not available when I ordered. The thing I am a little puzzled by is the 18" spare when the rest of the vehicle has 20" wheels? Other vehicles I have purchased with full size spares have always matched - are they "cheaping out" on this or is it a misprint?

I asked the same question at first, not thinking about it. They are referring to the wheel, not the tire. The spares are always on a much cheaper steel wheel, they don't ever match the 4 rolling on the ground. The tire itself will have the same rolling distance and should match, but not the wheel.

The 18s have 275 65 18 32.1 inch diameter. 20s are 275 60 20 33 inch diameter and 22s are 275 50 22 32.8 inch diameter. Are they going to put 33s on the 18 inch spare?

I believe you have to go back to the order guide to see the exact differences. One spare does not fit all.
