I have not done this to my vehicles but given that the F150 is a blunt object pushing through the wind I may do this to avoid stone chips etc… Has anyone done this and do you recommend doing the whole hood or just the “nose”(and any issues doing the whole hood in terms of it not looking consistent with the paint on the rest of the truck — same thing if I just do the front bumper / facial and the front section of the hood only, is the invisible line, so to speak, noticeable and will that creates some differences in fading or paint colour versus the untreated areas in your experience. Thanks.

No matter how clear it is, only doing the front section of the hood will leave a noticeable line. I recommend doing entire panels such as the entire hood.

I did all the front, side, and rear plastic panels on my Mustang Mach E. They did a full ceramic over the top. You can't see the difference between the panels with and without PPF. In my case it was Suntek film.

To each his (or her) own but I have never been a fan. In most cases it looks like crap a few years down the road and as previously stated the "invisible line" is anything but. I hate as much as anyone getting the inevitable stone chips but the film protectors are not for me. Matter of personal choice and as I understand some of the newer products have a much better result nowadays. Thanks, Walt

I did get the xPel PPF and though invisible, I still got a chip (tiny) - road salt and people passing and cutting back in too closely, I guess it’s inevitable. I don’t think you can put a plastic deflector on the frunk and would no doubt effect aerodynamics with are poor already
