My Lightning is being built this week, I have changed mind on keeping this truck, I am asking for deposit back unless someone wants to purchase the vehicle I would like 5,000 over MSRP of 88,000. I am in Houston area if anyone is interested. Have a good day. If this amount is out of line with market let me know. I am thinking somebody wants a Lightnin without the wait. Have a good day!

Most vehicle deposits are refundable. Don't take the dealer's word for it if they tell you otherwise. Check your state's applicable laws. Remember that most people have two deposits–the $100 reservation fee plus any deposit you made when ordering. All money you paid is with the dealer, not Ford.

Frankly and politely, there isn't much to sell since the market is changing quickly and there are now some trucks in inventory. It may change again before the truck arrives, but it doesn't look like it will. Maybe you could arrange something for anyone interested to coordinate with the dealer (if they're amenable) when the truck arrives.

I bet you get some bites. yes, the inventory is starting to go up as people walk away from orders in the face of the price hikes, but i've yet to come across one on the lot or for sale used that's red. you chose wisely!
