Mine was also 'built' on 12/23 - Lariat SR in Avalanche color - added Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 and Bedliner – Tough Bed Spray-In.

Congratulations! And Merry Christmas! That’s a sweet Christmas present. I can’t figure out their build strategy. I ordered 8/24. Order confirmed 8/29. It’s been scheduled for weeks (scheduled for production week of 12/19). My blend date is (or was) 12/23. Yet it’s not actually in production yet. You ordered in November and your truck is built. I have a perfectly great 2020 Lariat F150 that I’m not looking to go away. But I’m anxious as hell to get my XLT Lightning.

I was “built” like two weeks ago, and had an estimate delivery date of Jan 28- Dec 3, which was awesome because the the uncertainty of the credit. They held it for two additional weeks-ish to do qc, before shipping, which I got notification of today. The initial delivery estimate just slipped two weeks. Be prepared for that.

Actually, this has to be a record, right? From "Ordered" to "Built" in 1 month and 9 days? I've never heard of an order going through that fast.

Thank you. I hope I didn’t come across aggravated. I’m glad to see they’re building and shipping in general. I guess it’s a bit more evidence of them giving Lariat and Platinum builds preference over XLTs and Pros (I think? yours was a Lariat?). As I may have eluded to I have a truck I love and will be sad to say goodbye to when my Lightning does deliver. I’m going from a Lariat to an XLT unfortunately. I couldn’t swing the 2022/3 cost of a Lariat. I bought my well optioned Lariat for $55k in 2020. About the same as my XLT Lightning.

Have you ever heard of Clazzio seat covers? They make custom seat covers. I installed a set in my wife’s 2010 Prius is 2013. They were VERY well fitted. They looked like factory leather seats. For the time being I’m going to put a set of Clazzio leather seat covers in. They’re $600. $900 for Nappa Leather. This is a temporary solution. I want ventilated seats like my current truck has. So later down the line I’ll do Katzkin. Maybe get heated seats installed for the rear too. My kids use them all the time. That’s my only issue going from a Lariat to an XLT. I’ll be upgrading from an 8” screen to a 12”!!! That’s nice!

You did not come across that way, I know how frustrating it has been watching the seemingly random allocations.

I was seriously considering going to XLT due to costs - but we decided we could go for it.

Estimated delivery to Miami dealer is 1/16-1/21, anyone know how accurate that date is? Does the dealer hold for any length of time before you can pick it up?

this is what people mean by random. Mine was ordered in oct. blend 11/7 built 12/15 and not shipped until 12/28. Frustrating to say the least.

For what it’s worth my dealer told me once it showed shipped in their system they could complete the paperwork and get it finalized so the tax credit is received.

The cap starts on Jan 1 and a Lariat ER would not qualify as it is over $80k MSRP.
